On request of our members in the past year the IREDES office was developing a conversion tool which enables us to automatically convert the current XML schemas into JSON formats. This enables us to offer JSON as an alternative/additional carrier to XML exclusively to our members:
The first profile converted is the LHDTruck equipment profile as well as its dependencies and subordinated objects. Currently we are working on the 2.0 version of the drill rig equipment profile. As soon as that’s finished, we will convert this profile as well in order to keep the xml basis and the new JSON synchronized.
Furthermore, we have updated the IREDES coordinate system description, which is currently under review by our members.
As users discovered certain non conformant “IREDES dialects” in use which are not IREDES – standard conformant, we now offer the service of IREDES data set validation. So if you are IREDES user, please send us datasets you receive or your software produces so we can check them on standard compliance. This service is free of charge for IREDES members. Also machine manufacturers are asked to send us their data sets so we can officially assign particular machines as “IREDES standard compliant”.
To enable and broaden the use of the IREDES standard webinars are currently prepared for introduction into the standard as well as for advanced IREDES users.
